Hoping In Vain
Hoping in vain
We all live today,
hoping for tomorrow
then it disappears
I drift away,
illusions dearly held
but they're vanity
Chorus
Hoping in vain
Everyone is hoping in vain
Hoping in vain
Everyone is hoping in vain
Empty words,
swirling in the strong winds
of a hurricane
All I see,
crashes all around
none able to explain
Chorus
Hoping in vain
Everyone is hoping in vain
Hoping in vain
Everyone is hoping in vain
It's no use,
hope is an illusion
that you cannot see
Days all done,
time slips through your fingers
that's reality.
Chorus
repeat
fade
