Hoping in vain We all live today, hoping for tomorrow then it disappears I drift away, illusions dearly held but they're vanity Chorus Hoping in vain Everyone is hoping in vain Hoping in vain Everyone is hoping in vain Empty words, swirling in the strong winds of a hurricane All I see, crashes all around none able to explain Chorus Hoping in vain Everyone is hoping in vain Hoping in vain Everyone is hoping in vain It's no use, hope is an illusion that you cannot see Days all done, time slips through your fingers that's reality. These lyrics could inspire a superb song, John. Hope is a complex abstract thing to which we cling and it keeps us from going under. ~ Regards // paul

It's true hope is a powerful force, but some put their trust only in humans, and so are disillusioned by our ineptitude, and greed etc, hence the feelings in the song. Not me though I'm a believer.

Yes I sing, but not well, therein lies the problem, normally songwriters sing and are successful, but when you have to look for a singer it's more difficult for sure. Thanks for the visit, hey when you gonna do my new contest?
