Hopeless Junkies

How long must these salty tears fall, in the name of love?
A heart will never be practical, until it is made unbreakable!
When love appears, after so long without it, tears burst forth!
For the heart knows of it's fragility, and predicts it's breaking.
Yet once more, hope will endure, that this time it might last.
Love is like the air that we breathe, for without it we are lost.
The joy will bring the sorrow, for the one must invite the other.
Yet knowing of the fall, from that pinnacle of joy, stops us not.
For when it comes to love, we are all just hopeless junkies!
