Hope-Less

The light is dim,
Through the twilight, I can see the calm of night-
So dark and deep it is;
Where am I heading, I know not.
The leaves have been sucked of everything,
And fallen are they on the ground- dead and beaten,
The trees too have dried- dead and down are they.
Love- I will not anymore and Cry- I shall not again,
For all the roots of hope and love have been uprooted,
And here I’m in the depth of night-
Alone and empty…
