Hope Unrelenting

Drifted along with vicious tides
A soul in distress, lost, astray
No reason to reincarnate life
A lifeless burden, here, I lay

In caress of the finest, a desired reverie
My dwelling, a fantasy of idyllic presence
Behind the facade, a spirit yearns to be free
My world, as hollow as its glitter, in essence

Forsaken by all, yet I thrive to exist
Holding on to a beacon near end
At the verge of sanity, I strive to resist
For a glimpse of your smile gives me life my friend

reverie---I love this word. It was on the tip of my tongue on a poem I wrote last night! Nice poem! I appreciate your words. You are right...I should post more...BUT, unfortunately I write all my poems out on paper first. Typing is so tedius to me. Once I write a poem, I am done and over it:) This is the same reason I do not edit or change my poems. It is like a special moment in time, not for me to mess with, I guess??? Peace!

Here I am again my dear, Your talent for story telling is alive and well and the sorrow expressed always beautiful. We poets love the yearning and sadness of life and these poems of yours tug at the heart. Also, your visits give a girl reason to write - so lovely are your comments, thank you Hussain
