Hope Is Gone

Hope flickers outward quickly moving beyond reach light forever gone
tearfully she cries for a love lost long ago despair in her heart
despair for her love who left her under the tree alone for all time
alone with her fears for inwardly she will cry yet no one will hear
they won't hear her cries her sorrow hidden inside masking all her fears
a mask on her face to hide all her emotions inside is despair
she yearns for her love hopeing for him to return knowing he will not
hope flickers outward moving quickly beyond reach light foever gone
