Hope Is A Wish

Frustration grows in the minds of the old: questioning everything that they've been told. And seeking answers that nobody knows: in the minds of the old, frustration grows. Aspirations are lost in youth's shadow: when hormones stop fueling their gusto. And as unfulfilled fantasies get tossed: in youth's shadow, aspirations are lost. Time opens their eyes to the faults of Man: and the old wonder if God has a plan. Youth tout that love will never compromise: to the faults of Man, time opens their eyes. Hope is a wish, wanting more, never less: for reality is: life is a mess. And having tasted lobster, we shun fish, wanting more, never less: hope is a wish.
