Hope Is
Hope is the possibility
That you might overcome challenge
Hope is praying you might
Get first chair in band
Hope is getting up
On the stage and
Singing your heart out
Hope is that maybe
You aced the test
Hope is a cannonball
Into the pool
The day before competition
Begins
Hope is a smile
That someone might return
Hope is looking up
Over at him and maybe
He’ll look back
Hope is over when
He does
Then it’s triumph.
