Hope In a Mirror

"HOPE IN A MIRROR"

"THERE IS HOPE FACING ME
RIGHT THROUGH A MIRROR,
THROUGH ITS BLINDING EYE
AND ITS STARE."

"LOOKING RIGHT BACK AT ME
WITH JUST A MYSTIC LOOK,
AS INTENSE AS 
THE OUTCOME OF A MYSTERY IN
A BOOK."

"GIVING WAY TO A SMILE
OF ITS OWN,
COMING TO ME
IN A PLACE WHERE I
CALL HOME."

"SO PERFECT IN ITS
TOUCH,
AND GENTLE AS 
SUCH."

"NOT SHOWING ANYTHING
NEW,
ONLY FULL OF SMILES
AND NOT SO
BLUE."

"UNTIL NEXT TIME
WHEN I STARE IN THE
MIRROR,

"TO ONLY SEE HOPE
FACING RIGHT BACK AT ME
WITH A SMILE
AND NEVER ANY FEAR."
