Alexandria Grace Poet Free verse

H-O-P-E

Hold On,

Pain Ends.

That’s hope.

Hope is what rides on angel wings.

Hope hides in the darkest,

Most mysterious places.

It doesn't come to show,

In some.

Others, its all they hold on to.

When in troubled times,

As humans, it's all we count on.

With friends and family,

And haters and enemies.

Hope is in the air, it never gets too far.

Hope is the voice in your head saying

Hold On,

Pain Ends.

It’s a bumpy ride but

Hope never leaves you.

Lynn Marie March 25, 2017 at 5:47 PM ...back to re-read :-) I do love this one Alex :-) ...can work for writer's block too. ..just a thought.. ..scroll through the contests list and just pick one to write.. you don't have to actually enter, use it as a starting point, though why not enter?! :-) ..many excellent poets here use contests to practice - it is how they learned forms and gained confidence.
