Hope

As i step into this morning madness I catch a glimpse of the cold iindifference, The ultimate sadness The substitute phoney smiles Trying to hide in the erosion of the chaotic miles Still i reach out Just one warm heart Will hope survive another day? Will it pass my way Or stray Lost in the concrete maze With all those trapped in the frozen gaze Still i reach out Can just one warm heart be found Before it all comes crashing down They keep missing the signs Ignoring time to tow the line Conforming to all that our society defines, Until you have yours And i have mine Still i reach out Amidst all my doubts That there is one warm heart That will not flee And will turn about And finally see The real me.

Beautiful poem Carl - full of meaning. Without hope tomorrow dies, yet life is too wonderful to live in 'phoney' existence. Nicely done! soupmail.

Keep looking! The Grateful Dead sang "Don't tell me this town ain't got no heart - you just gotta poke around). You can find some good people in the metropolis. Stimulating poetry here! Peace & Blessings Matthew Anish
