Hope

Watching a rose quietly bloom in May,
Listening to a canary's song as it plays.

Feeling the joyful laughter of children when their school day is done,
Witnessing their delightful revelry and all the fun.

Feeling the fervent drumbeat in my chest,
Watching another sunrise with gratitude, no less.

Hearing the tranquil flow of a brook,
Spending some quiet time reading the good book.
