Hope

Am I awake or asleep?
Is this a vision?
Or some day dream?
Am I sleepwalking and dreaming
And talking all at once?

I see a new bred bud
Burst forth from around the Niger.
Like a multi-dicotyledonous seed.
Splitting into several parts
And shedding its old self.
To give way for its new bud to
Reach the sun.

And the old cotyledons of
Agitations and injustice
And Kidnappings and insecurity
And economic decay
All fell off to the ground
Like over bloated leeches;
Decomposing into organic nutrient
For our new bud to breed.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
