Hope

Grey skies with black clouds
Rain tap dancing on my head
Miles before my shelter
I try and smoke my wet cigar
My soul is as bleak as the day
Yet I press on
A kaleidoscope of thoughts in my head
My brain rumbles
And my mouth mumbles
Somewhere, somehow a song is found
And I sing my miles
While the sun rises in my heart
