Hope
Of long ago was deep sorrow
Hardship, grief and pain
Though bear in mind humankind
Felt sunshine after rain.
For bitter-sweet is our anguish
When struggling to cope
For intertwined props peace of mind
Sustaining us with hope.
We wish that things were different
To better circumstance
And long for happiness
With a dream of chance.
Desires they are endless
Oft triggered from despair
If we never suffered
Would we even care?
To endure all that's been
then rise again with force
Through all the strife in our life
Balanced by sheer source...
Hope.
