Hope

A dam holding back a fierce river,
bent upon breaking free.
No force of nature or man
could keep it held back for eternity.
One dau it shell break
free and indulge
within the twisting confines
of its now barren crevice.
Flow freely, scouring the earth,
leaving hope and beauty in its path.
But for the moment
it is raging, building, swelling
and planning for that day.
But when it breaks fee,
oh how beautiful it will be.
