Hoover Dam
Immense dam blocking river water flow,
thou structure showing great restraining force,
now ever show your swirling blades below
to power lines drawn o'er extending course.
And ye do make an irrigation stream
for rows that grow vast bumper yields of kind.
Such harvest answer gold, a farmer's dream
all seen since made canals and fields do bind.
Your lake gives place for boats and camping beach,
its scene's an avid angler's day's delight.
And road around the lake for miles doth reach,
with rocky ridges, arid clime for sight.
Ah great dam, seving people many days,
All we appreciate your wondrous ways.
