Homelessness
Trauma,misery and unhappiness
Is a life one lives;
Overcoming obstacles and barriers
Interacting with carriers
Of diseases and affliction
Mental health and addictions
Days of sadness and depression
No help on the horizon
Living the life of flight or plight
Trying to survive another night
Dawn and then the morning comes
Thoughts of what the day holds
Let’s get out of the slum
And entertain with some chums
Evening comes and the night is dark
Feint sounds of a dogs bark
Sleeping again on the bare ground
No solace to be found
