Homeless

You passed me bye today
No time, no change, no care
With shield in place
You looked past my face
And pretended I wasn’t there

You passed me bye today
So intent to avoid delay
Your life must be fine
And so once was mine
Pray to God
You will never be here

You passed me bye today
Because in your heart you say
Someone else here will care
But the truth is that’s rare
Soon I’ll die
And be out of your way

Beautiful Douglas and both Collaboration: Let's try "Life"... You write the first verse I will go from yours... We will do three a piece to make six verses with four to five lines... Free Verse or Verse or Dramatic Verse is fine... You can write all three and I can integrate or we can do the verses one at time so that we write from each other thoughts... Game... :) Verlena

What I sent was written as three lines, but it might work better as one. Use it as you like.
