Home Sweet Home
My heart is shattering
As it sinks into my chest
The feeling of emptiness
Overcomes me
Watching my little man drive away
Unable to do anything
Other than sit back
And watch it happen
He said he wanted to stay
He didn't want to go back
Many times, over and over he said
"Mommy I'm really really gonna miss you guys"
Tears filled my eyes
I started to shake
Felt like I was going to collapse
Just trying to breathe
This is only the start
I will fight to the end
My little man will be home soon
