Home Again, Once More
"Home again, Once more."
The way the moonlight hit your face
Last night,
Made me awaken suddenly from deep dreaming.
I sat up to admire your profile, but as I turned to gaze upon you,
Your skin now had the look of an angel that, stealing a few minutes from Heaven, had laid beside me,
Protecting me with unwritten promises of the heart.
Your black curls,usually kept neat & tidy in habit from the Military, looking now, so unruly on your pillow.
The bridge of your nose stood out to me, unlike your slender nose does
In the truth of daylight.
I felt Blessed to experience a side of you that felt foreign and familiar at once,
Like a friend visiting to whisper to me, "You're home again, Once more."
I knew I had seen a ghost again.
