Home

Home smells of favorite food
Of being oneself in any mood
Of  the comfort of a soft bed
Of the dog wishing to be fed

Home is where you invite friends
Where it is safe and secure within
Where family lives and cares
Where mom can kiss away a tear

Home is a place you always know
It is a place you can't outgrow
It is a place where dad is king
It is a place mom rules supreme

Home is where siblings fight and play
Where every emotion is on display
Where faith begins and hope is shared
Where love shelters from want and fear

Home lives within our hearts
The place from which we start
Home is family who love us anyway
The place where memories never fade.
