This is actually a true story that I had experienced one day while hunting by myself. I was probably around the age of 17-19 years old at the time and it was the first time I had gone by myself. It was scary enough to me walking deep into the woods when it was pitch black 4:00am in the morning. But seeing a bear, a rattle snake and being chased up a tree by a domesticated cow that got loose from a farm really scared the hell out of me..lol
I went out hunting with my bow
One day in late September
It's hard to recall all my trips
But this one I remember
Sitting on the ground
With my back against a tree
I sat myself near a path
Where I thought a deer might be
It was early in the morning
When I thought I'd seen a deer
When it started getting close to me
I saw it was a bear...Yikes!
He came as close as ten feet from me
And he looked me in the eye
I swear, I almost peed myself
As he was walking by
He knew that I was watching him
He knew that I was there
But he just kept on walking by
I guess he just didn't care
Then, early in the afternoon
I left to take a break
But I had to wait a few more minutes
Because I came upon a snake
The snake had rattled once or twice
And then he hissed at me
I stayed there frozen in my tracks
Just as quiet as can be
I saw a bunch of deer that day
But, I never drew my bow
I then saw something unusual
When It was time to go
Coming out from behind a bush
And running after me
Was a cow that was not nice
As he chased me up a tree
I waited for the sun to settle
Then I ran back to my car
After all that, I needed a drink
So, I stopped at the first bar
