Holston

There's a lake where I used to live I used to swim there with my friends. Dark, murky water blurred my vision, Monsters lurked beneath. I wasn't scared. It was home. I'd swim out until I couldn't stand, Free and floating Unafraid and careless. My friends grew old and left, I stayed. One day I'll venture back out And join the family that's still there.
