Holographic Image
You are my hologram
Prismatic paper water mark
to be held at ninety degree angles
in half light from the moon
Pearly sheen and iridescent
protecting the fragile document of the soul
Had I imagined this value,
this hidden virtue,
I would have raised my fingers
so to feel the flush of ink
With color spheres to change
as hazel tint and fire flies
with moon lit orbs of paper eyes...
I would have unwound the world
of seeing things,
to make way, in sleepy velvet rugs
for subtlety.
And, perhaps, in the right light,
you would have seen me as well...
