Holly

The relative I never met
was left without a trace
of their favorite flowers

I found fake holly
to give to them, yet it was
the only gift I had

I showed them love
despite what little I had
that I couldn't before

If there is anything about your poems (and there is much) it can be especially summed up with one particular word - "Poignancy"! There is an intensity about your poetry...like all the best poetry of course. I have enjoyed looking at some of your works, Amelia; I would suggest you continue writing...you are rather good at it.
