Hollowing

Take the heart
Right out of my chest
Scratch with your words
And claw with your eyes,
Dig into my happiness
And turn it to pain
•
You cut at my soul
With every backwards glance
I cling to hope
Like a boy on a string
But I'm not empty yet,
I'm just hollowing

Oh what a hard hitting visceral pen! Fantastic. Love em brief and potent.
