Holiday Leftovers

When hosting a holiday meal There's always a certain appeal To food that remains For you've taken such pains To prepare it, it seemed an ordeal. But after the guests have all split If you're honest, you'll have to admit That your efforts have paid Since the food that you've made Can be eaten for days, bit by bit.

We are eating beef stew all week because we love it, and it does not seem like left overs. Just something lovely we do not have every day. I can so relate to this one!

hopefully not TOO many days. haha. I have stuff two years old in my freezer now. I hope I do not one day die of my own food poisoning. Good one, Ilene.

Huh!! That's exactly what we've been doing! Dressing and gravy, turkey salad. I replace chicken with turkey in my salad at work last night! Another great poem. Well done, pat
