Holding Up

Hands on my head
Knees fallen to the floor
Looking out in the distance
Rain falling all around.

The light fading fast
The light never lasts.
Tears stream from the eyes
The eyes that see nothing but
lies.

Hold us up.
Hold us high
Keep us knitted together.
Don't let the darkness tare us
apart.

Hands on my head
Knees fallen to the floor
I can't take this stress anymore
My peace just about dead.

Forced upon a strength
A mask for all to see
Something to hide
Something they can never see.

The breakdown that calls
The anguish that follows,
Calling out for help
Calling to save us all.

Don't go away
Stay on my knees and pray
Get through what may kill a
bond
That will tear apart all we
knew.

This is nothing in this world I
wouldn't do.
Pray for strength to pull
through
To be there when most needed
Even while the tears flow from
my eyes.

The light is dim
My heart is shattered to dust
A strength that's called upon
To help others get through
what's to come.

Things happen for a reason
No one will understand why
Watch yourself as time will fly
Soon no one will cry

Hold us up
Hold us high
Watch over my family
Pray for peace to return, for
the light to shine so high.

My love, it will not die.
Hands on my head
Knees to the floor
I will not give up anymore.

That was a rough story to see. It took me into the events. Love your work. xxx

A fierce & shining resilience against life & all its obstacles. Wonderfully & deeply expressed.
