Holding the mirror up to the Truth

Holding the mirror up to the Truth

I'm decent and I'm kind
I do my very best to help others
In any situation, I'll rise higher
Ensure that God's grace and mercy is covered

But I am still (only) human
I can forgive but won't easily forget this
Because the trauma and hurt goes deep
I feel it more because I'm an Empath on Earth

You might think I am only Light and Love
But remember that I'm a warrior too
God sent me here for a mission
To keep holding the mirror up to the Truth

So, do what you feel you must
Say those words that cut and bite
But, don't stand there in stupefaction
When I get up and walk out of your life
