Holding the Key

I could never reach the stars so high
Above me twinkling in the sky
But now, you are my star
And the sky isn't seeming so far

You are watching over me
And to my heart you hold the key
The sky was always dark at night
Until you cam and made it bright

You're voice is the music in my life
You take away all of my strife
You make my heart flutter and soar
You give me diamonds more and more

Mistakes are nothing but a paper cut
But we will always get out of the rut
You are not a drug but I am addicted
And there is no way I can get convicted

I could never reach the stars so high
Above me twinkling in the sky
Now the sky isn't seeming so far
Because now you are my shining star

I wrote this one, last November, but after we broke up I shoved it away. I only just found it, and I am ready
to share it.
