Holding On
The days are growing drearier,
News of the future is grim,
Folks are losing faith in
everything,
Thoughts from the devil keep
creeping into minds,
telling them, "They are no good
and unkind,"
They fight and wrestle with
suggestions to harm,
with each day that passes,
They have accomplished weathering
the storm,
Then emotions flood their minds
and the pain becomes unbearable,
making them anxious and miserable,
In their minds, there is only one
solution to a life of everlasting pain,
Flushing their lives down the drain,
with hopes of never experiencing
a cruel world again,
If only delicate souls could just
hold on for a better hour,
They would truly see God's powers.
