Hold On Tight
Feel the space, it’s subtly speaks
Whispering to me to just embrace
But it’s so cold, I can't see my way
Wondering free, seeking something to grasp
I lost my balance many years ago
I tripped and tumbled into this spell
With trance like motions going through life
Feeling nothing inside and wondering how
The experience of life has not been so nice
But hush little girl, don’t let them know
If they see what it’s done you’ll just regret
You’ll be locked up, and really be left
People will look and see what they want
Which is only the surface song and dance
Covering my wounds, so they’ll go away
Ignoring the infection which begins to swell
Why free this heart from my prison
When each attempt brings a little more terror
It’s filling with pus and maggots now
Soon enough it will all be gone
