Hold On

i am holding on to a dream
farther than i have for seen
rolling over in my mind
spinning out of control

want to wake for this life
listening to the thoughts
the ones that i should of forgot
my heart open with your vicious knife

darkness covers the wounds
in a perfect storm of lies
in my dream everyone dies
but i am the one that is out of bounds

nothing in this realm of the dream
nothing in this nightmare
nothing in this life
can i bear ,awake shrug this sleep

for i can achieve all that is good
when i awake i will see the light
the light of the day
the day that will beckon me
