Hold Me in Your Heart
Although I've loved you for so very long,
adrift, afloat, a melody, in air,
looking for a place where I can belong,
dreaming of your good ladyship, so fair.
I know I'm invisible to your eyes -
my humble features, hopelessly blurred.
My voice, only just inaudible sighs,
hoping, for the sweet day it will be heard.
My dear, this is my last and final plea.
This old jalopy, now a pile of rust,
this hunk of driftwood floating on the sea,
this flesh and blood, transforming into dust.
Hold me in your heart 'fore I disappear,
If you don't know me, I was never here.
