Hogging the Cover By Elton Camp Every night, Ralph settled into a warm cocoon However, his comfy spot would disappear soon The icy cold of the bedroom, Ralph had awaken And he would see the cover his mate had taken “Hey, you have got all of the cover, my dear.” But Ethel was sound asleep and didn’t hear He would find a blanket and lie on the couch Better that than having her call him a grouch Finally, a solution popped into Ralph’s mind Thus, a hammer and some nails he did find The bed covers he tacked right to the floor So that Ethel couldn’t hog them up anymore
