Hockey Smile

I thought,
"What would your father do?"

And I tasted the result

Copper and Wintergreen.
Bruises and Broken Teeth.

And in its wake
I am left an addict.

Six meetings in and craving
my own blood,
wondering if always avoiding
someone or something

lets it keep the same
control.
