Notes About The Poem

I am of the opinion that Limericks should be Limericks.  That is a five line, somewhat metered, and very bawdy, rapscallious, writes.

History Vs Heresy

history vs heresy

historically limericks are bawdy
some are even quite naughty
a titular lass
a word playing ass
touching the edges of tawdry

I agree with you 100% John, I love writing bawdy limericks but I do try to make them humourous and not obscene - there is often a fine line that is easy to cross. :-) Have a wonderful time over the festive period:-) hugs jan xx
