History of a Story

On a very stormy day, During summer holiday, Three little friends got together to spend A day in-doors, To while away their time! They said they would write the story of their lives. And they would call Their life story An Autobiography! Said one with a doubt Rubbing his red snout, An autobiography is about one, But we are three! Why not just call it a biography? That sounded right till someone bright said “a biography, is a very long story, But we have not much to comment! Our ages are about Eight, nine and Ten! The one aged nine, who had a class in sex education, thought it should be biology! A ripple of giggle went around, his words rang a naughty sound! “here we all are and lives begun, Because our parents had fun, So biology not biography!” The youngest didn’t agree, He said biology is about tree, Frogs, worms things you can’t see, We are none of these! So biology was not it! They then tried other subjects, Physics, Chemistry and even mathematics? They were close but not right! Then they said the title Of their story should be history! This was unanimously agreed! History! As it all happened in the past! But the future they would now write With the pen of their own lives, Then it would no longer be a mystery! The storm stopped, The sun came out! That story was never written!! Completely your choice(3) Any theme any form Contest whenever whatever Brian Strand

Krish, I have to agree with Panagiota's fine assessment of their unwritten story. Your story was thankfully written here in fine prose. -Richard

Thanks Richard, for your kind words. There are many such unwritten stories that the world misses! Many slowly wither as they are only transported in memory.

A wonderful scene you set, Krish, and interweaving the different ages and mind sets...history..how perfect. The last line was tops! Panagiota
