His Stroke

just a little slurring on the left side
as he holds back these tears
my eldest brother
so funny down the years...

we`ve had our differences
yes, that I can say
and yes, I still love him and wish the stroke away-

He`s so gung ho to get going
he`s amazing to me
inspirational and uplifting and funny as can be...

how he keeps busy in that hospital by day
is a mystery to me as his spirits don`t fray

he does all his exercises
in fact he does more
in hopes of escape
on that hospital floor-

he`s got his reservations in
to be with the world real soon-
my brother
the star
you got me over the moon.

Beautifully written with so much love and tenderness for you brother..I can tell you have a deep close relationship with him.. Spend as much time as you can with him and pray that the lord sees him through this difficult time and gives him the strength and support he needs.. God Bless You*Tyesha
