His Pain

Your pain is deep
Invading your dreams
No peace to keep
Unrelenting screams

When you close your eyes
The pictures of the pain
Become unrelenting lies
As they all attack your brain

Prayers for a ceasefire
Never to come about
Makes life feel dire
Showing nothing but doubt

Know I am not that far
I'm here for only you
Let me kiss your scars
I'll show you what's true
