His Light
God lit the day
With shafts of hope,
A glistening Son, rising
Overflowing the soul
So, yes, I can know…
God lit the night
With stars so bright,
The shining STAR,
Kindness, stirring
So, yes, I can know…
Wherever He shines His light,
Be it day or be it night,
I can feel the glow inside,
The song of His love,
Stirring awake my whole life.
Wherever He shines, His glow
Stills the darkness,
Reassures the wounded soul,
Hesitates in the spirit
Who knows His blessing…
Light that perfects
Light that accepts
Light that connects
Our souls to Him,
The reason I can say…
I love Him more every day!
