His Life Story's in His Hands

     His hands, weather-beaten, stained
        adventures buried deep ‘neath veins

Blisters, wounds speak of hard times
when his pocket lacked a single dime

A fine poem. It reminds me of Grapes of Wrath. Thank goodness that America has programs for those affected by hardship.
