His Fall

This Fall fell hard, winds ripped through the dying. He looks out of his window, imagines grandchildren playing in the garden, feels the itch to do something, to help and work among the scattered leaves but everything has a risk this season. He wonders if being age-vulnerable, has left him hanging in those helpless spaces that most avoid at all cost?
