His Eyes

Those eyes.
Please.
    Do not label them brown.
For this one
there is yet a color
to be defined.
    This is what you will see
seeing you ...
One
too undone for the soft smile beneath
those eyes not brown,
    too quiet for those years
doing hard time out of mind.
May he forget why he is weeping
    one day.
