Notes About The Poem

His Eye Is On the Sparrow

His eye is on the sparrow, and I know God watches over me.
If you think about it, I’m sure you will have to agree.
He can count all the stars in the sky, and call them by name...
He knows your heart’s cries and who is to blame.

I’m thankful for God’s watchful eye,
Because he understands when you question why.
He has given us all many different things,
But to go to Heaven does not come without strings.

Beautiful piece Brenda, truly inspiring, reminds me of Ethel Waters gospel hymn of same name who sung at Billy Graham rallies. I see you love to write rhyme exclusively like myself, great to know we're on cue! How's Georgia?, I'm in Scotland but also love poetry and music like you, catch you again soon, blessings, Gordon

Thank you Gordon, glad you enjoyed it. Georgia is ok, but way too hot in the summer. Never been to Scotland, but pictures I've seen are beautiful!
