His

down in the river
bathing beneath the sun
is the one called lovely
his only one.

chestnut all around her
frames the eyes of green
to him the most beautiful
he has ever seen

down by the river
warming in the sun
is the one called lover
his only one

skin as soft as pedals
moistened by the dew
he would long to touch
if only that she knew

down by the river
a flower in the sun
is the dream lover
his only one

she smiles like the dawn
at her chosen man
to witness such a thing
is more than he can stand

down by the river
buried in the sun
is the one called lover...
now and forever his only one
