Highways Take a Fall
highways take a fall when we come around
there will never be evidence of resurrection
when we run stop signs, there is no caution to any type of wind
the next several interchanges reek of broken promises and later regrets
wherever we turn, happiness has relocated to anywhere green grass actually grows
now we are jaywalkers claiming everything is okay
lying to ourselves, we urbanize a country road
we go on and on and on and on until we head off in separate directions
i stop for lodging, but you stop for coffee....
