Highway Star

Another song we used to do But also a memory too An old girlfriend who drove On the wrong side of a divide Head on traffic to fear, Her driving I did chide And another, without license Dumb friend let her drive She drove us up a raised lawn We were lucky to be alive Though not unscathed I lost several front teeth When my face Slammed into the front seat And her face injured Her confidence was lost forever more And her ego's collapse Oft too much for one to endure Let's hope your Highway Star, Is one that shines quite bright, Illuminating your path, In the darkest night And Lord protect you please, From accident and disease, And may life be sunny and sweet And death you long do cheat.
