Highlights

I told you to leave me alone
not really wanting that
but silently you turned away
not willing to invade my space
the friends I thought I wanted
would have wormed their way in
only they never happened
people never even tried
merely satisfied by highlights
of my life only surface deep
I built my walls
no one tore them down
still standing as I
can't let them crash all around
