Highland

Every night in my thoughts i stray High on a place Far far away from any trace And down i look from this place To see me sleeping at the base Far i travel in this way Soon i see no earth no moon Just a silvery string with me to say 'Come home' while the night is still not day Far i travel in this way And then i reach a luminous way Chrysanthemums so big to blow me away Strewn all over to welcome me anyway Then i reach a garden so lush Red, green, yellow, orange And other shades never Seen through the brush Water that glows with purple and blue Trees with flowers no leaves to see Birds so pretty why would ever Anyone want to leave To come was neither a choice Nor was it my choice to leave But just to wait another day When day turns night to let me stray
